• Is it necessary to have my security system maintained ? We would always recommend that you have your wireless burglar alarm serviced every year to avoid false alarm and intermittent beeping for low battery

• How reliable is Pyronix Enforcer wireless security systems ? Pyronix is a world-leading manufacturer of electronic security equipment for use in residential, commercial and industrial applications in the intruder alarm market. Primarily UK based, Pyronix was incorporated in 1986. Now part of the Hikvision group of companies, Pyronix designs a wide range of multi-award-winning wired and wireless intruder alarm solutions, utilising market-leading technologies developed exclusively by our in-house R&D team.

• Can I get Smart Pyronix Enforcer with GSM and mobile App ? Yes, You can use the mobile App with GSM, but it uses the data on your SIM and not your home WiFi. App charges apply.

• How do you set a pyronix alarm? ? Alarm can be set using the keypad, remote control keyfobs or proximity tag. Please read the user manual below to know more.

• What is the advantage of having wireless smoke detectors connected to my security systrem ? Stand-alone smoke detectors warn you of a potential fire at your property by sounding when they detect smoke. Smoke sensors connected to a security system can be configured to warn you by sending a text message or signal to a monitoring station. Should a potential fire occur when you are away from your property, you will then be notified and take the necessary action

• What happens in the event of a power cut ? The internal battery located within the end station will take over and the battery will recharge once power is restored. The battery should last for around 12 hours (depending on the grade of system) in the event of a power failure.

• I have pets - will the system still work ? Pets are likely to activate standard movement detectors, however, pet tolerant detectors can be fitted that will ignore animals below approximately 24kg in weight

• How long does the outside siren ring ? An external sounder must switch off after ringing for a maximum of 15 minutes to comply with UK noise pollution laws

• How do I silence alarm ? Enter a valid user code or present a valid tag at the keypad and this should be acknowledged and silence any alarm present. Ensure you make a note of the display to determine the cause of the alarm

• Can I set my alarm system at night ? Yes. You can full set the alarm when you go out and part set at night to secure and monitor downstairs or the area you prefer

• Can I lock my Pyronix Keyfob from getting pressed accidentally ? Yes. Press the first and the last buttons on the keyfob together for 5 seconds and wait for the red LED to show green.

• How much is Pyronix cloud subscription ? It costs £25 inc VAT per year for Pyronix App.

• How to connect Pyronix Enforcer to Wifi ? If you have recently changed your broadband provider, please watch the video above to know the step by step instruction to connect your alarm to the new router.

• What is Pyronix Cloud ? The PyronixCloud operates as the gateway between the Pyronix Enforcer Panel and ProControl app. Each of the pyronix alarm with smart phone App will be registered to the security company’s or Pyronix installer’s cloud id. • Are Pyronix alarms NACOSS approved ? NACOSS is an old standard of accreditation and it is not meant for the alarm brand but for the security system installation. The new standard being NSI and SSAIB. Pyronix Enforcer is a British standard alarm that can be installed to NSI Gold and SSAIB standards. These standards will be met if the Pyronix alarm is installed by an accredited NSI or SSAIB security installation company. They would be able to issue the nationally approved security certificate on completion. This certificate might help you get a better deal on your home or business insurance.

• Can I switch my Pyronix Installer ? Yes. But you need get your burglar alarm panel deregistered from your old installer before we could renew your mobile app subscription. Please raise a ticket at https://www.pyronixcloud.com/tickets to get your system de-registered. You may then contact us to get your Pyronix alarm registered with Smartech and we would be able to renew your mobile app subscription.
